Paul Fu, B.Sc. Pharm. – President
Paul Fu was the CEO of Asenda Pharmaceutical Supplies Ltd. (“Asenda”), a wholesaling company in Richmond which specialized in the distribution of prescription and non-prescription drugs, narcotic and controlled substances, home health care goods and pharmaceutical supplies. Paul built Asenda in 1998 from the ground up and was responsible for aspects of its operations, from managing customer relations, developing marketing strategies, warehouse operations and overseeing customer services. Under Paul’s direction, Asenda reached annual sales of $230 million in 2006 and achieved turnover rates of 20.3 and 12.1 for receivables and inventories respectively. On March 20, 2006, Asenda sold its operations to the AmeriSourceBergen Corporation, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical service companies.
Ruby Hari – VP Business Development
Ruby Hari is an accomplished leader, manager and innovator experienced in developing niche areas as well as implementing several key initiatives using education as a conduit for outreach programs. With 20 years of industry experience, she has established a strong track record in pharmacy sales at all levels of engagement including generic and brand name products through her participation as the former Vice President of Business Development at a major retail pharmacy chain in B.C.
Ruby was the Strategic Account Executive with Asenda responsible for key account development in Western Canada. Her experience has cultivated a critical advantage for soliciting existing clients as well as gaining new businesses.
Andrew Yu, M.Sc. – VP Operations / Corporate Strategy
Andrew graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in England with a Master degree in computing and information system in 2001 and joined Asenda Pharmaceutical Supplies Ltd. in the same year. He is extremely experienced in statistics analysis, business analysis and decision support. Andrew has been in the pharmaceutical industry for over 17 years. Currently, he is overseeing operations in both BC and AB depots, including warehouse and logistic management, customer services and IT. He also oversees the corporate equity and is involved in corporation strategies.
Steven Pang, CPA, CGA – VP, Finance
Steven joined Imperial Distributors in May 2021 as Vice President of Finance with over twenty-five year experience in accounting and finance positions for multi-location, distribution and manufacturing operations. Prior to joining Imperial, Steven was the CFO of a well-established North America distribution company.
Since joining Imperial, Steven’s financial foresight and proven leadership skills has provided direction to financial planning and analysis as well as defining key metrics to drive profitability for the company. His excellent communication skills has also provided a bridge to connect the different departments to facilitate the changes to handle our growth and ever changing industry landscape. His deep understanding of business processes allows him to effectively work with department heads and align their goals to formulate strategic moves. Steven is also responsible for internal and external financial reporting, working capital management and budgets.
Joan Lee - Vice President, Sales and Supply Chain
Joan Lee is VP Sales & Supply Chain with Imperial Distributors Canada Inc. and brings over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical wholesale distribution, procurement and sales.
Joan works closely with stakeholders formulating strategic objectives and building long-term partnerships. Joan proactively develops a deep understanding of the business landscape and identifies value added opportunities and facilitates implementation. Her reputation is predicated on a track record of achieving results.
Prior to joining Imperial in 2022, Joan held senior executive and management positions in Western Canada with two other leading national pharmaceutical wholesale distributors.
Carlo Faedo, CPA, CGA – Director, Finance
Carlo joined Imperial Distributors in April 2021 as Director of Finance. In this role, Carlo oversees Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Cash Management & Forecasting, A/P, A/R and Analytics.
Carlo prides himself on working closely with internal stakeholders to achieve financial discipline while supporting company growth. He adds value by providing financial support to business partners on key business decisions.
Prior to joining Imperial, Carlo led the Finance team at Pure Integrative Pharmacy and has previous experience at Save-On-Foods in Finance and Operations roles.
Pindy Janda, B.Sc. Pharm, RPh. - Director, Procurement
Pindy is a clinical community pharmacist with over twenty years of frontline pharmacy and pharmaceutical industry experience.
Pindy joined Imperial Distributors in 2016 in the role of Retail Business Development. In 2020, she created and launched the Imperial Clinical & Specialty Division. As its General Manager, Pindy bridged the needs of patients, community pharmacists and manufacturers through innovative solutions and implementation protocols. Pindy was promoted to Director of Procurement in March 2022, whereby she oversees all aspects of supply chain, including manufacturer collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
In addition, Pindy is a Board of Directors Member of the BC Pharmacy Association and is a lab instructor and preceptor with the UBC Faculty of Pharmacy.
